Nestling in a tranquil Cornish valley, amidst rolling hills and hedgerows abundant with primroses,
foxgloves, campion and bluebells, is Higher Trevartha Farmhouse

This enchanting 17th century, Grade II listed farmhouse, has a wealth of
olde-worlde charm, luxurious furnishings, a delightful walled cottage garden and a genuine
warm and welcoming atmosphere created by your host Kathryn ......



Accommodation

The farmhouse has a choice of four luxury ensuite bedrooms,
including the romantic four poster room "Camel" and a cosy guests lounge to while away a relaxing evening....
Guests visiting during the chillier months have the added bonus of relaxing by the traditional woodburner and
savouring the delights of the log fire.

Our main bedroom, has great charm and character, featuring the luxurious antique four poster bed with its pretty patchwork quilt and wonderful views across the garden out to the fields beyond and our family of Fresian cows.
Our twin bedroom, is a lovely bright room, with a real
cosy cottage feel to it. The warm pine wardrobe and
dressing table are of French origin and beautifully compliment the olde-world bedroom, with its beamed ceiling
and old cottage style pine doors.
Our second double bedroom, features a 4ft 6in white double bed, with a romantic hearts and bows swag headboard.
There is a fourth double bedroom available at times, which is ideal for the less mobile being situated at the base of the stairs. This is a delightful cottage style room with leaded windows, wide window sills and a beamed ceiling. It has an oak bed with matching bedside tables and chest of drawers, table and chairs

Breakfast at Higher Trevartha

Breakfast is served around a large antique table, in the beautiful olde-worlde dining room, with its old rugged oak ceiling beams, exposed slate flagstone floors, cottage style leaded windows and an impressive Inglenook fireplace with woodburner.
Breakfast time is flexible, which allows for the early birds and those that prefer a more leisurely breakfast. Kathryn provides, what the majority of our guests would describe as, a truly hearty and traditional breakfast, but, if you prefer something simplier or more special, we can provide that too.
We endeavour to serve the best of breakfasts, so if you would prefer something not on our menu, we will do our very best to provide it for you with a little notice......

Location
The nearest village, Menheniot, is just a couple of miles away. There is an excellent country pub there or, if you prefer more of a choice, the town of Liskeard is also just a couple of miles away.
